MORE SNOW OVERNIGHT

Here in Sutton we have had more snow overnight. Gritters have been out all through the night gritting the main roads, but many side roads are icy with a fresh coat of snow on top. So it is slippy out there.

Travelling is going to take a lot longer than normal and trains are not running.

TRAIN TRAVEL DIFFICULT TODAY

According to the BBC “There will be no Southern services running south of East Croydon until further notice, while a limited service will begin in the "London Metro" area at 1000 GMT.” There are no replacement bus services and Southern are advising commuters not to attempt to travel.

And it doesn’t look much better for Southeastern trains, that run out of London Victoria and Charing Cross either because they are operating an emergency timetable.

To get up to date info on how train services are running have a look at the National Rail Enquiries – Service Disruption web page.

It also shows you how to set up alerts so that you receive text messages on your mobile phone with any issues on your regular journeys.
