At last the General Election – the worst kept secret of the year has been announced. And surprise, surprise, it will be on Thursday 6th May along with the Council Election.
So there will be an election for all 18 wards of Sutton Council and the General Election that Thursday. Polls will be open from 7am until 10pm.
Registering to vote
To vote at the borough (council) or parliamentary (general) election you must be on the register of electors. The deadline for registering to vote for the borough election is Tuesday 20 April 2010. To register please contact the Council’s Electoral Registration Office by calling 020 8770 5000 or let me know and I will follow it up for you.
